For over 7 years, Lake Burton Cafe has consistently been our go to ‘neighborhood’ place to eat and enjoy a cold beer. We have always received pleasant & friendly service. I wish I could break my ‘club sandwich’ habit, but honestly it is the best I have ever eaten.
We are pleased that our small dog is welcome to hang with us while we relax at one of the large picnic tables on the outside patio. Lake Burton Cafe is a reliably friendly and comfortable place to hang out, we have never felt like outsiders.

drove two hours to check it out today.9-25-21 wife said burger was great. I had the cheese steak, the best ever, And I have been eating them for many years, at many places. about 70 years. very clean ,very nice staff. If you are in that area, stop in, you will not be sorry. mike and katie.

1st time here and in the Clayton, GA area. Awesome place. Super friendly staff and patrons. Good food and beer is cheap!

Great food at reasonable prices! Great selection of beer, wine and mixed drinks. Pool tables, outdoor patio and plenty of TVs. The staff is world class- friendly and knowledgeable. Great location at Timpson Creek near Lake Burton! If you are at the lake or west of Clayton, this is your huckleberry!

First time there, definitely lives up to the dive moniker but the food and appetizers were really good, had a sampler and will be back for the wings. Prices very fair and we had a great group of people with us.

Awesome food, good drinks, just I nice friendly, warm, atmosphere. It's even a great place to take the little ones for lunch or dinner.

I have stopped several times for lunch while riding my motorcycle in the area. Staff are super friendly and the food is great. I normally get a salad and small pizza. Nice place to hangout, eat and watch a game on one of several televisions.

While we were out exploring on a long drive, came across this Dive for lunch. The food surprisingly was better than expected & very filling. He had a BLT & fries. I had Fish sandwich & hush puppies. Not too pricey. The place had many customers for takeout & got busy as it was lunchtime anyhow. Waitress was quite busy & still took time to check if customers were doing ok.

A bright spot in this increasingly dark world.

Local bar with a couple a pool tables and TVs. Went on GA football game night. Good crowd and good service. I’m sure I’ll go back.

Two friends and myself stopped by after leaving river for a quick to go order near closing time.The waitress was great and enthusiastic although it was close to closing.The cook preparing our to go order Miss Amy Love Was absolutely outstanding with service, time and personal. We got home to find she had taken the extra time to make sure everything was up to par.The food was excellent and service five star.We will tell our friends and be back ourselves plus .Thanks for such personal excellence of public service .

Salads were an excellent surprise...very fresh and tasty! Staff and customers are super friendly!

The Lake Burton Café is a 60's built grill and bar with beer and wine . Pizzas are great as are the burgers, wings , and specials . New management doing a good job of maintaining a smoke-free, friendly establishment . Live music on Friday nights , pool tourney on Wednesdays , open mic on Thursdays, and other treats . Closed Sundays . Recent Health Dept. review posted shows a well deserved 99 score !

I went to Lake Burton Cafe to meet some friends. Sometimes when you walk into a place you just know people come here to have fun and they are not disappointed. I made a few new friends, found some great wings and a fun, fun place just to hang out play some billiards and drink a few beers. The burgers are out of this world with some kind of special seasoning that is wonderful. Our hostess, Heidi, was very friendly, swift of foot, and full of energy.

My friend Woody of course had the wings he recommended to me, I am always looking for a new place to try the wings and they were very good. My lovely friend Lynn had the chicken tenders with BBQ sauce said they were just scrumptious. My girl JAM had the fish sandwich and was very glad. This place hops on the weekend nights with live entertainment, and celebrity guests. The locals know where to go to party. Just a hop skip and a jump from the lake, "drop in!"

Stopped in for a bite while staying in the area. Pretty sure my dad hung here when he lived in Clayton years ago. Truly a great bar, friendly staff, clean, and food was delicious. Had a BLT and Club Sandwich and we both thought the food was amazing! Hit the spot perfectly. and great prices, too. The staff are nice and not at all indifferent to tourists over locals. The locals were all so nice, too! Truly one of the last great dives, and I dig a place with a screen door, so welcoming! Will definitely be back when we return to Clayton.
